Abstract
We need to learn from the experiences during the pandemic in year 2020 for future crises. The impact of lifestyle factors for stress and worry about Covid-19 was studied in a group of 141 youths between 14-19 years. There was a strong link to stress about the world’s future, and a tangible link to stress about one’s own future and school. Thus, youths generally prone to stress were more affected. Being rooted in the social surrounding as seen in sense of coherence, social belongingness, going to school and liking school were protective factors. Girls were more affected by stress. Empathy implying imagining and identifying with others, as well as being more emotionally affected, was also a risk factor for worry and stress about Covid-19.
