Abstract
The transition from school to work is challenging for many young people, more or less extended and strewn with poverty risks. In this article, we examine how it has been possible to establish oneself in 2019 for those who went to fourth grade in Malmö in 2006. Malmö is of interest for several reasons. It is a city that has undergone a very extensive structural transformation, the share of young people with a foreign background is very high and there is extensive segregation. The survey is based on register data that are reported as comparisons between young people with different backgrounds
