Vilken resurs kan deltagare i civilsamhället vara vid en framtida hälsokris? En studie av krisinsatsvilja i det civila samhället i allmänhet och i idrottsorganisationer i synnerhet

Abstract

In this article we examine Swede’s willingness to aid in times of health crises, with focus on how it relates to involvement in civil society in general and in sports organizations in particular. The results show that the willingness to aid is great, but that there are noticeable differences between those who are members of civil society organizations and those who are not members. The results also show that the willingness is higher among those who are members of several different types of organizations. There is, however, some variation between membership in the different types of organizations – where the willingness is greatest among members of civil intervention organizations and sports organizations. The sports movement gathers a large share of civil society engagement in Sweden and can constitute an important resource alongside the public sector in times of crises.
