Abstract
Studies of children and youth within the Swedish sports movement show an unequal participation. By investigating on a residential area level – which has not been done earlier – we have gained more insights about households and municipalities in which many as well as few children are engaged in a civil society sports organization. Hence, the article provides important data to the discussion on physical activity among children and youth and how to contribute to equal health within the Swedish society.
