Abstract
In a care context, the encounter with suffering, meaning, hope, trust etc. becomes actualized. Meeting other people with similar experiences and being able to share their thoughts can be very valuable. Being able to try to put your thoughts into words in a safe environment becomes an opportunity for reflection and learning.
In this article, we describe a practice where we meet patient groups within inpatient psychiatry where the existential questions are really present and there is a need for conversations about them.
We also describe the work with discussion groups for health care professionals in Region Jönköping County. Here you get the opportunity to talk about the existential questions, equip yourself and get a language that makes you dare to stand still and think about life’s big questions together - even though there aren’t always answers.
