Abstract
This article describes how child- and family-centered developmentally supportive music therapy can look like in a Swedish neonatal unit for families with premature born babies. Focus in the article is to describe the clinical work through some vignettes and to show the bearing components that the music therapy contains. These are: moments of peace and quiet, undemanding approach, presence, shared joyfulness, room for sharing both thoughts and feelings, emphasizing, illuminating and sharing the present moment.
