Abstract
During higher education, a significant number of degree reports have been reported during the period 2003-2020, where students have paid specific attention to traffic safety, emergency driving and risk-taking in connection with transport and relocation in road traffic environment. In the study, a total of 38 degree reports were analyzed from a traffic medicine perspective on subject choice, applied theories/concepts and scientific methods. 17 degree reports focused on ambulance personnel while other scientific work dealt with the working conditions of police personnel. The students' choice of subject is described on the basis of a basic scientific structure, the so-called the Haddon matrix. A result of the analysis shows that there has been a great deal of interest in road safety as well as injury prevention work and initiatives. The article also include questions about challenges with a continued focus on risk awareness and preventive perspectives and emergency driving with police vehicles and ambulance vehicles.
