Hitting back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his attack on the Grand informationterritory.tumblr.com Alliance, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi claimed that Modi was doing so sensing defeat of the NDA in the Bihar Assembly elections.

Addressing rallies in Madhubani and Kishanganj districts, Rahul said that the prime minister had been using terms like "shaitan (devil)" and "three idiots" against the Grand Alliance out of sheer frustration.

"But it does not behove the prime minister to use such language," he said.

Rahul Gandhi at a rally in Madhubani charged Modi with having made false promises to the poor and the underprivileged people

The Congress leader also charged Modi with having made false promises to the poor and the underprivileged people.

"Your jumlas (catchphrases) do not satiate the hunger of the poor, whose plate is empty because of spiraling prices," he said.

"You are not even able to provide dal-roti to the poor and are making big tall promises to the people. The people, however, will not fall in your trap this time."

Referring to Modi as "Saheb", Rahul alleged that Modi's remote control was in the hands of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

"He had a ‘Plan B' to pit one Indian against other, but his strategy failed in the Bihar elections," he said.

"The PM should stop telling lies and start working for the people of Bihar the way Nitish is doing."

Rahul said that the government of the Grand Alliance would be the government for the people and not the one belonging to the capitalists and people with suit-boot.
