Twitter saw the funny side as Liverpool's back line turned into an Arsenal tribute act at the Emirates on Wednesday night.

Virgil van Dijk and Alisson both made uncharacteristic errors as the Premier League champions surrendered a one-goal lead to lose their second game of the restart.

Van Dijk, under pressure from Reiss Nelson, passed the ball straight to Alexandre Lacazette, who took it round Alisson to slot home into an empty net to make it 1-1.

Goalkeeper Alisson then mistimed a ball straight to an Arsenal player, allowing Nelson to slot home on the stroke of half-time for 2-1.

Jurgen Klopp's side were unable to muster a response after half-time and slumped to their third defeat of the season.

It means they can no longer break the Premier League points record of 100, set by Manchester City two years ago.
